Sarah E. Schnautz was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2024 after earning her J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Before joining Douglass & Runger, she represented clients in family law matters and developed experience in estate planning and guardianships, helping individuals and families navigate important legal decisions with practical guidance and compassion. She is excited to bring that experience to Tennessee and to serve clients throughout the community as a member of the Douglass & Runger team.
Prior to attending law school, Sarah earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Indiana. While attending law school, she was a member of the Moot Court program and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in recognition of her excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing.
Sarah is dedicated to building strong relationships with her clients and providing clear, thoughtful counsel during life’s most important transitions. She believes every client deserves to be treated with respect, kept informed throughout the legal process, and equipped to make confident decisions.
Outside the office, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiancé, Jared, and their Labrador, Mae. Whether she is exercising, camping, or planning her upcoming wedding, she enjoys making the most of every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
